The Optima Company has been producing luxury fitted English Picnic baskets for over 60 years. They combine the finest ceramics and accessories and present them in high quality, hand-woven willow baskets.
All the willow is of the highest quality and comes from sustainable, farmed sources. The full willow is used and is treated and varnished. As the baskets are handmade the weave may sometimes vary between baskets.
Basket handles are covered in a high quality leather and securely fixed by brass rivets. Soft leather covered metal hinges are carefully attached to each hamper and are guaranteed for the lifetime of the basket.
The table linen is 100% cotton, of a high quality and can be mashine-washed at 40 degrees centigrade.
Quality leather straps secure the high grade cutlery. Items are held firm during carriage but easily removable when required for use.
Baskets include quality branded glassware and the ceramics include some of the best known names in English pottery.
